"The Built Environment"

Structures are built "as needed" around the cliffs. The structures are built on top of the rocks, usually from around the middle towards the top. Small structures are built on top of the cliffs, but not much at all. Topography is important, they preserve as much as possible.

There are pulley and rope systems that let the Altumiums go up and down the cliffs.
There are small paths made up on top of the cliffs towards "safe" areas where the gatherers go to gather materials (fruit, plants, wood, stone).

Homes are also situated inside of the cliffs, as well as temples and places of storage. The storage area is where the people get their supplies and food
Green space is all around them, as the natural environment is very important to them. The tops of the cliffs especially is an expansive green space.
Commercial structures are pretty much nonexistent (aside from like a small tourist shop set up by the foreigners )
Leisure buildings are mostly built by foreigners away from the Altumiums for foreigners / tourists to visit. It's still fairly new and isn't too in depth quite yet.  There are probably areas in which the Altumiums practice sport like activities or rituals

Transportation by boat is more common that travel on land (top of cliffs). Since Altumiums don't travel very far, they don't really need fast transportation. However yak / goat like creatures up at the top are useful for carrying materials while gathering. The boats are on the smaller side as traveling is not important to this species (at least in this area. In the colder regions, the Altumiums there have large boats for lots of traveling). The boats are also small because they swim a lot.

There are no structures for defense. There are no threats to the  Altumiums, either from other species or from foreigners. They are peaceful people that are very welcoming

  • "haphazard" or "as needed"
  • organization is important, do they welcome strangers? or stay away from them? how would the "cities" look with both of these?
  • "oriented towards the landscape" or "non-grid"
  • "grid layout"
